Welcome to the home page of the Computational Biomechanics Group
from University of Craiova
The Computational Biomechanics Group at the University of Craiova, Romania is dedicated to develop computational, experimental and clinical technology to study the biomechanics behavior of anatomical structures and evaluate physiologic responses of the human body under normal, diseased, and surgically-altered states.
Our mission is to:
- Develop theoretical and computational technology to quantify anatomic structure and physiologic response of the human body under normal, diseased, and surgically-altered states.
- Implement methods for improving disease diagnosis, surgical planning, and prosthesis design.
- Create transferable technology for use by medical professionals and disseminate results to scientific and medical communities.
Research in the Computational Biomechanics Group (CBG-UCV) focuses on:
-
Hemodynamics and Vascular Mechanics Simulation
-
Computer-related technology for orthopaedics
-
Device Design and Evaluation
