ADVANCED ENGINEERING GROUP

 

The Advanced Engineering Group is formed from the higher education teaching staff from the Faculty of Mechanics, Department of Engineering and Management of the Technological Systems from Drobeta Turnu Severin, which carries research activities in fields like materials science, design and computerised modelling and simulation.

 

Our mission is:

- to study and to design new and innovative solutions form various engineering problems;

- to develop new materials using advanced technologies specific to powder metallurgy;

- to create transferable technologies and their use by the engineers and to publish the results in the scientific and engineering comunities.

 

We are collaborating at the research grants with some high qualified international companies, institutions, romanian universities and international specialists in the materials science, biomedical engineering, robotics and mechanical engineering fields. These are: Technical University from Cluj-Napoca, Politechnical University from Timișoara, Bucharest Politechnical University, I.C.P.E. Bucharest, I.N.F.L.P.R. Bucharest, I.N.C.D.F.T.- I.F.T. from Iasi, Politechnical University from Turin (Italy), University Carlos the 3rd from Madrid (Spain), “Max Planck” Institute from Dresden (Germany) and Chalex Ltd. from London (Great Britain).

 

The research of the Advanced Engineering Group is directed on the following fields:

  • Fabrication Technologies
  • Welding Technologies
